Join our dynamic engineering team as a Verification & Validation Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of cutting-edge software and embedded systems for heavy machinery and industrial applications. This position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with advanced automation frameworks, simulators, and real-world test benches, directly impacting the performance and safety of mining, drilling, and construction equipment. If you are passionate about automation, system-level debugging, and continuous improvement within a collaborative, fast-paced environment, this role is an exciting next step in your career.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based automation frameworks and test suites for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Create automated test scripts using Robot Framework, Selenium, and other relevant libraries to validate software, UI, and embedded system functionalities.
• Define and implement comprehensive verification and validation strategies, including detailed test plans, test cases, and coverage metrics across software and integrated machine-level systems.
• Conduct hands-on system and machine-level validation activities on mining, drilling, and construction equipment, simulators, test benches, and integrated test rigs.
• Validate hardware-software integration encompassing sensors, I/O interfaces, hydraulics, engines, actuators, and machine control systems.
• Analyze machine behavior, system response, and performance against functional and safety requirements to identify deviations and recommend improvements.
• Perform debugging, log analysis, defect investigation, and root-cause analysis to resolve issues across software and integrated systems.
• Integrate automated testing solutions with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to support continuous verification and regression testing.
• Manage test cases, track defects, and coordinate validation activities using Jira or equivalent test management tools.
• Collaborate closely with developers, system engineers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to drive defect resolution and enhance product quality.
• Lead test reviews, defect triage sessions, validation discussions, and technical problem-solving initiatives, while mentoring junior engineers on best practices in testing.
• Ensure strict adherence to validation standards, safety protocols, and field-testing guidelines relevant to heavy machinery applications.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in verification, validation, software testing, system testing, or automation engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in Python-based test automation, including the development of reusable test scripts and frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Robot Framework, Selenium, and other automation/testing libraries.
• In-depth understanding of system-level and hardware-software integration testing methodologies.
• Proven experience in machine, embedded system, test-bench, simulator, or integrated-system validation.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, J1939, LIN, and Ethernet.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform root-cause analysis, log analysis, and debugging effectively.
• Practical knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, automated testing workflows, and software version control.
• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or Kanban development environments, including participation in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with international customers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience in the mining, construction, heavy machinery, automotive, or industrial control systems industries.
• Knowledge of functional safety standards and machine safety requirements.
• Familiarity with Docker or containerized test environments.
• Exposure to hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, simulators, test rigs, or other machine-level validation setups.
• Experience in automated deployment and continuous testing environments.
• Agile/Scrum certification or demonstrated ownership of testing processes and technical discussions.
• Strong exploratory mindset with a passion for quality, automation, system-level debugging, and continuous process improvement.
• Prior experience working in a global, customer-facing engineering environment.
