Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a System Core Engineer, where you will play a critical role in advancing Android Automotive and AOSP-based platforms. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge infotainment systems, contributing to the development and optimization of the Android Framework. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and Android Framework components to support automotive infotainment systems.
• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve issues related to Android Compatibility Test Suite (CTS) and Vendor Test Suite (VTS) failures.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate and optimize hardware abstraction layers (HAL) and system components.
• Implement and troubleshoot Android SEPolicy, configuration files, and board configuration to ensure system security and stability.
• Perform independent debugging and root cause analysis to address complex system-level challenges.
• Contribute to design discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement of development processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

4+ years of professional experience with Android Framework and AOSP development, with a minimum of 5 years focused on AOSP/Android Framework.
• Strong programming skills in Java; proficiency in C/C++ is highly advantageous.
• Comprehensive understanding of Android HAL architecture, AOSP internals, and Android system components.
• Experience working with SEPolicy, configuration files, and board configuration files within Android.
• Proven ability to analyze and resolve CTS/VTS issues effectively.
• Excellent independent debugging and troubleshooting skills, with a strong problem-solving mindset.
• Experience working in an on-site capacity and collaborating within engineering teams in Bangalore.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in the infotainment domain or automotive-related Android development.
• Familiarity with embedded Linux environments and low-level system integration.
• Exposure to system performance tuning and optimization on Android platforms.
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows related to Android builds and testing.
