Job Description

Location: Norfolk, VA

Security Clearance: Active NATO Secret Clearance Required

Key Responsibilities

  • Support federated interoperability activities throughout the capability lifecycle.
  • Elicit, capture, collect, and manage interoperability requirements across all aspects of DOTMLPFI.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of policies, directives, concepts, governance frameworks, and processes related to federated interoperability.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality, completeness, and consistency of interoperability test data within designated tools.
  • Identify data gaps, coordinate corrective actions, and support data analysis and reporting.
  • Coordinate communications with Communities of Interest (COIs) and prepare participants for interoperability events and activities.
  • Provide guidance to participants on interoperability processes, tools, requirements, and event procedures.
  • Coordinate and contribute to the activities of the interoperability programme team.
  • Analyse interoperability data and support the preparation and delivery of reports, briefings, meeting minutes, action lists, and executive summaries.
  • Prepare documentation and briefings for military and civilian audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Administer user accounts and maintain secure, role-based access to designated interoperability testing tools.
  • Support programme and section leadership with stakeholder coordination, task tracking, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Plan, prepare, coordinate, and manage meetings, workshops, conferences, exercises, and other programme activities.
  • Attend meetings and conferences within and outside the assigned operational region, with travel of up to 30 days per year.
  • Perform additional duties related to the role as assigned.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from a nationally recognized or accredited university.
  • Proven experience in multinational collaboration and coordination, preferably in defence or equivalent multinational environments.
  • Professional experience supporting interoperability initiatives, programmes, campaigns, exercises, and activities involving multiple stakeholders and nations.
  • Experience managing interoperability requirements, governance, data collection, and reporting.
  • Experience planning, preparing, coordinating, and managing meetings, workshops, conferences, exercises, and stakeholder activities.
  • Experience preparing meeting minutes, action lists, reports, briefings, and summaries for military and civilian audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Experience managing, editing, and processing interoperability data using defence, national, or multinational toolsets.
  • Programme and project management experience in complex and dynamic programme environments.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including timeline management, deliverable tracking, task coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
