Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans for WLAN/Wi-Fi products adhering to IEEE 802.11 (a/b/g/n/ac/ax) standards.
• Configure and validate Wi-Fi Access Points (APs) and wireless clients to ensure interoperability and performance benchmarks.
• Utilize Linux OS command-line tools to perform system-level testing and troubleshooting of wireless protocols.
• Analyze network traffic using tools such as Wireshark to capture and decode packets for protocol validation and debugging.
• Implement and maintain test automation frameworks to streamline wireless validation processes and improve test coverage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, product management, and technical support to identify, isolate, and resolve wireless issues.
• Document test results, report defects, and provide detailed analysis to support product improvements and feature enhancements.
• Stay updated on emerging wireless technologies and industry trends to recommend testing best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 1+ years of hands-on experience in WLAN/Wi-Fi testing with a strong understanding of IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards.
• Proficient in Linux OS and comfortable using command-line tools for testing and debugging.
• Solid networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, ARP, and Routing & Switching protocols.
• Experience with Wireshark or similar packet capture and protocol analysis tools.
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot Wi-Fi Access Points and wireless clients in various network environments.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills to identify root causes and work towards effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly document findings and collaborate effectively within the team.
• Willingness to work on-site in Bangalore and participate in both virtual and face-to-face interviews as part of the hiring process.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for wireless testing.
• Familiarity with wireless security protocols and performance optimization techniques.
• Prior exposure to wireless chipset validation or firmware testing.
• Certification or formal training in networking (e.g., CCNA, CWNA) or relevant wireless technologies.
